Mad About Liverpool 2012!’

To be opened by the Lord Mayor of Liverpool on 19th January!

Despite the road closures in town, the exhibition is still beginning at 5pm today with the Lord Mayor. If travelling by car, St John's car park is still open. Central Station is closed but visitors can get the train to Lime Street and its a 2 minute walk from there to the exhibition....see you later!

Madelainartz was founded by Madelaina Murthwaite: The Artist and Director of The Gallery – Liverpool’s Best Kept Secret, Clayton Square, Shopping Centre, Liverpool, on 31st October 2009. She prides herself on exhibiting her own Celebrity Portraits; supporting Local Artists and raising awareness for the chronic pain syndrome Fibromyalgia!

The Gallery has an informal feel to it and is one of its kinds. It abolishes the stereotypical pretensions of other galleries which can be intimidating and therefore makes art accessible to the whole community. With an L1 postcode it is a hotspot for all visitors to the city!

During the day, Madelaina can be seen exposing her skill as she paints within the window and has adopted the moniker of ‘The Naked Artist’. Each month the window will change and reveal a new talent as local guest artists exhibit their work. 'We have an abundance of talent on show at The Gallery this year. Check out 'Guest Artists' for some fabulous local artwork including Mr Keith F Smith and Japanese Koi expert Mr Gordon Lavendar!

You can find The Gallery on the first floor of Clayton Square, Shopping Centre where it is open from Wednesday to Saturday day from 12.30 (late night Thursday)
